Concierge Medicine FAQ
Q.
What is concierge medicine?
A.
Concierge medicine is a healthcare delivery model with a flat annual fee. By paying this fee, you receive access to Dr. Benaderet whenever you need it, regardless of the time or day of the week.
Concierge medicine fosters a relationship with your doctor that allows you to focus on your health and wellbeing. In a traditional fee-for-service (FFS) model, medical providers see as many patients as possible with a focus on quantity instead of quality.
Concierge medicine offers the opposite as the practice has a smaller patient panel allowing patients an opportunity to build a relationship with Dr. Benaderet and his staff while improving their health and wellness.
Q.
Am I a good candidate for concierge medicine?
A.
Anyone who wants to live a healthier and more active lifestyle can benefit from concierge medicine.
In addition to providing traditional medical services like annual check-ups, immunizations, and preventative screenings, concierge medicine provides regular guidance on eating, exercising, sleep, and other lifestyle issues that can impact our health.
Additionally, if you injure yourself while playing sports, or wake up with a sore throat, concierge medicine provides quick access to Dr. Benaderet. A brief, no-wait telemedicine or in-person appointment can provide treatment guidance and set you down the road to recovery.
Q.
Do you accept insurance?
A.
Dr. Benaderet accepts most insurance (please check with the office whether they accept your specific plan). If your concierge physician accepts your insurance, it typically covers traditional healthcare services like office visits, labs and imaging. However, the fees that give you access to the benefits provided by concierge medicine are not covered by health insurance plans.
Q.
How do I pay for my Membership?
A.
You may pay the Membership Fee in one annual payment or two (semi-annual) payments.
Payments are to be made to the medical practice by automatic debit from your bank account, credit card, or check. You can select your method and timing of payment. Certain processing fees may apply.
Q.
What happens when my doctor is on vacation?
A.
While this happens very infrequently, in this situation a qualified physician will cover for your doctor when necessary. As a member of Dr. Benaderet’s concierge practice, he strives to be personally available in-person, by phone or messaging to respond to your medical concerns.
Q.
How do telemedicine visits work?
A.
In order to provide better access to your physician, telehealth visits will be provided. This HIPPAA compliant platform can be used from your computer, mobile phone, or other hand-held device to directly contact your physician when being seen in the office is not an option.
